Physical and Chemical Properties

physical property- any aspect of an object or substance that can be measured or perceived  with out changing its identity.    
5 examples- color, smell, freezing point, boiling point, infra-red spectrum

chemical property- a property used to characterize materials in reaction that change there identity.

Homogenous/Heterogenous

Heterogeneous mixture- any combination of substances that does not have uniform composition and properties; a mixture of physically distinct substances with different properties.
6 Examples- sandy water, carbonated beverage or beer, orange juice with pulp in it, water with ice cubes in it, chicken noodle soup.

Homogeneous mixture- any combination of substances that has uniform composition and properties; a mixture that is uniform through out.
6 Examples- salty water(salt dissolved)   brewed tea or coffee    soapy water   a dilute solution of hydrochloric acid   hard alcohol   wine
